Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role involves managing financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, and contributing to strategic financial planning. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to lead and mentor junior staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP or IFRS.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor variances and provide insights to management.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and filings, including corporate income tax, VAT, and payroll taxes. Liaise with external tax advisors as needed.
  • Internal Controls: Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.
  • Audit Coordination: Coordinate and manage the annual external audit process. Prepare audit schedules and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the processing of accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
  • Payroll Management: Supervise payroll processing, ensuring accuracy in payroll calculations and compliance with labor laws.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including profitability analysis, cost analysis, and investment appraisals.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior accounting staff, providing training and support to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and systems, driving efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in accounting, with at least [Y] years in a senior or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS.
